The Teaching Qualification for Special needs Education (L5) entitles holders to teach at special schools, however the teaching qualification also relates to teaching at primary schools and the subject studied for teaching at intermediate and German intermediate schools. Admission requirements

The admissions requirements for the teacher training degree programmes with the academic degree 'First State Examination' is the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or previous education recognised as equivalent (NOT the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification).

Applicants must pass an aptitude test before being enrolled for the teaching subject of Music. More information on this (registration deadlines, etc.) can be found at www.uni-giessen.de/studium/eignungspruefung
