The Teaching Qualification for Intermediate and German Lower Secondary Schools (L2) prepares students for teaching in intermediate and German lower secondary schools and at comprehensive schools (classes 5-10) but also entitles students to teach at the secondary level at grammar schools. Admission requirements

The admissions requirements for the teacher training degree programmes with the academic degree 'First State Examination' is the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or previous education recognised as equivalent (NOT the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification).

For the teaching subject English, certain language skills must be demonstrated before enrolment.
